New Delhi: The Institute of Minerals and Material Technology (IMMT) has signed an MoU with Australia Murdoch University to collaborate in the fields of nanotechnology, mineral science and biotechnology.
It is part of the Australia-India Strategic Research Fund Scheme aimed at strengthening ties and fostering cooperation.
Dr Pritam Singh, Murdoch's Emeritus Professor of Chemistry, explained how the two governments have been keen to strengthen economic and research collaboration ties and this MoU would 'enable us to take advantage of the prevailing atmosphere.'
IMMT and Murdoch University had previously collaborated on several other projects related to the extraction of metals and arsenic mitigation from contaminated waters in West Bengal and Bangladesh.
