Swabhimaan Sangathana, an NGO led by Nitesh Rane, has stepped ahead to help college students of Mumbai University get their delayed marksheets at the earliest. These students have been facing problems to submit their final year marksheets during job interviews.
The issue came to light when students namely Asif Darodiya, Gaurav Bhalekar and Tejas Arya approached Swabhimaan Sangathana for not receiving marksheet of their final year exam dated April 2010. Swabhimaan Sangathana volunteers Vikrant Achrekar, Rupali Kamtekar, Rajan Maajgavkar, Prafulla Surve met Prof Vilas Shine, Controller of examination, to highlight the complaint and solve the issue. Prof Vilas Shinde has assured that all students will receive their computerised marksheets in 20 days time.
Swabhimaan Sanghatana volunteers have also escalated the matter by questioning Dr Rajan Welukar, Vice-Chancellor, Mumbai University for the marksheet delay that has been damaging job prospects of the affected students.
