Kerala High Court directed the state government to ensure that all the engineering colleges in the state are run with sufficient qualified teaching facility.
The direction in this regard was issued by a division bench comprising justice P N Ramachandran Nair and Justice B P Ray on a writ appeal filed by Ernakullathapan charitable educational society.
The bench also directed the government to constitute an expert team of senior faculty member of government engineering colleges to conduct surprise inspection in all engineering colleges in the state. If necessary affliation could be withdrawn or modified and alternate arrangement made for students to continue their study on other colleges.
Court gave the government three months time to constitute a committee to get the first round of inspection done.
