Facilities for higher education cannot be provided under the public sector alone and the role of private sector in the area should be considered positively, Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan said.
There was need to have positive attitude towards private sector for creating basic infrastructure, he said inaugurating a Science Centre at the ongoing 33rd Anniversary of Markaz, a socio-cultural and educational organisation here.
He lauded the contributions by the private sector for accelerating higher education in the country.
Noting that lack of education and unemployment contributed to the growth of disruptive and communal forces, Sankaranarayanan said secular values should not be merely rhetoric.
