Maharashtra Minister for Social Justice Shivaji Moghe inaugurated two hostels for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe students in Aurangabad and Jalna districts.
Pointing out that there were nearly 2388 such hostels in the state, Moghe said a new hostel would be constructed at Ghanswangi tehsil in Jalna.
"10 lakh people are homeless in the state. Under various schemes the government will provide homes to them," he Moghe said at the inaugural function of the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Social Justice Bhavan.
In Aurangabad, Moghe inaugurated a hostel which can accommodate one thousand students, in Kileark area.
