Birla High School Girls’ section organised ‘Smayan: A festival for the differently abled school children of Kolkata’ on December 21. Put together by Sneh, the social service unit of the school, it saw students from Noble Mission, Mentaid, Asha School, Oral School for Deaf & Dumb, Anjika, Alakendu Bodh Niketan, Akshar, Bodhyan, Akshar and Bodhyan. Poster and T-shirt painting, carom, dart, power point presentation, mime show, special talent, group dance and musical performance saw their enthusiastic participation. The event concluded with special performances by the children of Bodhyan and solo performance by the students of Anwesha-The Quest.
