Training for VAO exams proposed

The district Employment Exchange has proposed to form special study groups and conduct training for the Village Administrative Officers' exams held by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, here.

According to a Collectorate release, the TNPSC has already called for filling up of 2,563 vacancies for the post in the district, of which 1,071 vacancies entail backlog of seats for Adi Dravidars.

Self-study groups were functioning at the district employment exchange office and also in the Panchayat Union offices of each of 11 blocks in the district.

Under this, coaching classes are scheduled to start from December 13, to train youth preparing for competitive exams including the civil services exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Additionally, those requiring training for recruitments in private companies may also avail of the programmes for group discussion and development of soft skills, the release said.

The release called upon aspiring candidates to take advantage of the opportunity.
