The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced it was starting a management course in corporate governance. The first session will begin in January next year, a statement said.
"The programme will develop professionals with in-depth knowledge of management principles, governance processes and other important aspects of corporate governance. It will also emphasise on the importance of business ethics at the grassroots level," the statement said.
"The programme will offer an opportunity to work in the corporate sector at various levels and fosters better understanding through case studies," it added.
The two-year programme offers 30 seats and admission will be on the basis of an entrance test, group discussion and personal interview. The programme will be divided into four semesters and the fee for each is Rs.50,000.
The last date for submission of application forms is Dec 15.
