New Delhi: Arena Animation, a Global leader in animation and multimedia training, today announced the launch of its centre at the strategically & centrally located Bangla Saheb Road, New Delhi. The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art labs to train students on the latest Animation,Gaming Techniques & Special Effects.
The centre was inaugurated by Gurtaj Singh Mangat – Zonal Head, North & East. Also present at the occasion were Manish Mathur, Regional Sales Head & Vikas Srivastava, Area Sales Head, Arena Animation. The centre was represented by Dr Prakash Keshwani, Centre Head, Arena, besides a host of parents, students and animation enthusiasts.
Inaugurating the new centre, Gurtaj Singh Mangat said, “Animation & Multimedia industry is growing at a tremendous pace, with more and more students looking forward to a career in this sector. We at Arena Animation offer industry-relevant and comprehensive career courses in animation & multimedia that enable students to meet global standards. Our centre at Vidya Bhawan on Bangla Saheb Road, would empower the students to be a part of this booming industry."

According to the FICCI-KPMG report, the estimated size of the Indian animation industry is around Rs 1,740 crore and is expected to reach Rs 3,900 crore by 2013 with a CAGR of 17.8 per cent. The animation industry has reported over 200 per cent increase in revenues in the past six months, witnessing a dramatic rise in content flowing in. Many entertainment giants, such as Walt Disney, Sony Pictures and Turner Entertainment, which make television commercials and computer games, are off-shoring animation content to India.
To meet the requirement for well trained manpower for this industry, the new centre will offer courses such as BSc Degree in Multimedia and Animation from MS University, Tirunelveli in association with Arena, Arena Pro, a premier 25 month program, Game Art & Design, 3D Graphics & Visualization, Graphics & Web Design, Animation Engineering (DAE) – a top-end course for 2D and 3D animation, the 2.5-year Arena Animation Academy Specialist Programme (AAASP) & the comprehensive Arena Multimedia Specialist Program (AMSP), besides other short term courses.
