Video lectures help choose foreign campus

Choosing a foreign university is a complex decision, more so for youngsters with the mindboggling choices in the form of courses, universities and countries luring them. Except a few students who can plan well in advance and use multiple modes to short-list the best as per their interests majority aspirants either follow their seniors or just depend on the unprofessional advice of friends.

But the choice of going through heaps of material available on the net doesn't excite the aspirants. And here comes help from a noted academic in the form of video lectures summarised to suit the interests of students. Former EFLU Registrar, T.A.V. Moorthy, who has over 30 years academic experience as a teacher, academic advisor and mentor in foreign education has come out with this novel idea of making students choice easy.

The videos explain the need to choose a particular university and a course depending on not just students' interest but also their aptitude. The lectures are available on www.rightdirectionsedu.com and also the You Tube.

“Video lectures explain students about the courses, universities and why they should be chosen. I have put in all my experience of working overseas and dealing with Indian students,” Prof. Murthy said. The lectures also have presentations on filling up the application forms, visa forms and also how to deal with questions in the Visa interview.

Prof. Murthy, who is a Director at Right Directions, an education group says they believe in sketching students profile precisely to suit their aptitude and where their profiles fit in. He feels students should start preparing at least 12 months in advance for a smooth journey to abroad. He reminds that some cities are good for some courses given the presence of that particular industry.

Moreover, government's long term plans to promote a particular state through investments should be taken into consideration as more jobs will be available there in future.
