Anna Varsity introduces fellowships

Anna University introduced fellowships in the name of C N Annadurai — Anna Centenary Research Fellowships — in order to intensify research in thrust areas.

According to a press release, 45 research fellowships would be awarded to full-time research scholars every year on merit basis from January 2011. Each fellowship will carry a monthly stipend of 12,000 and an annual contingency grant of 25,000.

These fellowships will be awarded for a maximum period of three years or till the submission of thesis whichever is earlier.
