Around 11,485 candidates today appeared for the online Common Admission Test (CAT) 2010.

It is the highest so far since the start of the exam on October 27, with the organisation conducting it claiming that the sessions ended "successfully".

The first edition of the online CAT exam was marred by technical glitches last year.

"11,485 candidates registered for the CAT today and both sessions have concluded successfully," Prometric India, which conducted the online exam, said at the end of day four of the test.

"We have completed testing for more than 30,000 candidates to date without major issues," Managing Director of Prometric India, Soumitra Roy said.

There are no scheduled tests tomorrow, he said, adding that the online exam will resume on Tuesday.

The test that will continue till November 24 is being conducted in 33 cities over 78 examination centres for admission into the elite IIMs for admission to two-year full time Post Graduate Programs in Management.

About 150 premier Business Schools in the country apart from IIM accept CAT scores for admission to their respective management programs every year.
