New Delhi: Sticking to a planned schedule during preparation was the secret of success for Nitin Jain
Nitin Jain, from Faridabad who secured first rank in the IIT-JEE exam said 'Having a planned schedule and sticking to it are keys to do well in any competitive exam. I studied for 6-7 hours everyday for the IIT-JEE '
Asked about the role of coaching institutes, Nitin who also took coaching in a private institute said, 'I believe good coaching can help immensely in securing a higher rank'
Quizzed on new format of IIT-JEE, where the number of questions were reduced from 132 to 120, he preferred the earlier format.
'The new format has very few questions. That is why I could finish the exam half an hour earlier than the stipulated time.'
'Having a more questions will help in checking the speed and accuracy of a student,' he added.
Asked about his future plans, Nitin said he would take up computer science course in one of the IITs.Nitin said he owed a lot to his parents, teachers and friends also for the success.
