Panasonic has broadened its eco-awareness programme by announcing another initiative-The Eco Relay. This fun filled programme entails a contest known as the “Eco Picture Diary contest” that ropes in children worldwide to present their contribution towards the environment in the form of creative pictures, illustrations or photographs. The initiative that made a successful start with its execution in eight schools in Delhi is expected to follow suit with two more schools in Chandigarh.
The entries in the contest will be judged by a panel of artists and other talents. The best among the entries will be sent to the company headquarters in Japan. The winner will be informed and sent to be a part of the Global Awarding Ceremony held in Tokyo.
Arjun Balakrishnan, Director Operations and Planning says, “As part of our commitment to the Go Green programme, we have initiated a fun filled activity for children so as to help them realise the importance of the environment and the vitality of their contribution in order to recover the resources that are deteriorating. Through this initiative, Panasonic aims at helping the students to gauge their negligence and sensitise them towards building a greener earth for a healthier tomorrow.”
