The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will soon go full time on campus programmes in its regional centres. This was announced by Vice Chancellor Rajasekharan Pillai at ‘Aagman’, which is a welcome party organised by on-campus students for the new students. The occasion was marked by performances by full time students as well as hearing-impaired students.
Officials from the university said that IGNOU's immediate goal was to assist its students who are graduating this year. The varsity currently has 22 full-time academic programmes with around 500 students enrolled in them. These programmes had been launched last year at the New-Delhi campus of IGNOU for the first time.
