Godavari prof to represent India in SAARC workshop

Professor of Public Administration Dr D Venkateswara Rao will be one of the delegates representing India in an international workshop organised by SAARC.

Rao, who has been associated with Sri Y N College in Narsapur of West Godavari district, will attend the workshop on "Role of Human Resource Development in Governance in South Asian Region" to be held from October 4 to 17 in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Prof. P Krishna Prasad of Politics & Public Administration and Dr S R Subhani from Andhra University would be two other delegates accompanying Rao.

Rao told PTI that issues like utilisation of human resources in e-governance, strategies, plans, recruiting methods, enhancing efficiency in civil servants, management of human resources and other would be discussed in the workshop.

A total of 28 members from SAARC countries would take part in the workshop, he said.
