Haryana has sent a proposal for establishing 13 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and 96 skill development centres to the central government for approval. Gulati, presiding over the third meeting of the state level skill development mission, stressed on the need to provide quality training and introduce new short-term vocational courses in the ITIs and polytechnic institutes.
Gulati said that more employment opportunities would be created for the youth this way. She said that in order to give training to school dropouts and to certify the existing skills of people, the industrial training department in Haryana is implementing a skill development initiative scheme to provide training through registered vocational training providers.
