After the harrowing time the students appearing for the Common Aptitude Test (CAT) faced last year, the organisers have assured that many steps are being taken to ensure that the exam goes smoothly this year.
Earlier, The CAT examination was conducted over a period of 10 days. Prometric, which is the test provider, has now decided to conduct the test over a period of 20 days from October 27 to November 24. This means that the candidates will work on fewer computers at one time which will ensure that the chances of errors and snags are also lowered.
Prometric will begin sanitising computer hardware against bugs and glitches well in advance before the exams are scheduled to begin. There will be extra systems at each test centre so that the candidate does not have to go back home without giving the exam.
Prometric will also upload a practice CAT facility on their official website to avoid mistakes. Through the practice CAT, students will be able to acquaint themselves with the instructions and format of the exam.
