New Delhi: In a novel initiative, Delhi government will provide professional training to around 30,000 students in the city who had appeared their Class X and Class XII examinations and are not willing to pursue further studies.

Delhi Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely said, the Government has come out with the initiative to help students who fail to clear the class X and class XII exams or do not want to study further.

'Many students get distressed and take extreme steps if they do not perform as per expectations. We are coming out with the training programme to find them a respectable employment with more than satisfactory remuneration,' he said.

Results of Class XII exams conducted by CBSE will be out tomorrow though the board announced results for three regions yesterday. Results of Class X will soon follow.

Lovely said, the training under the Prime Minister's Skill Development Mission Programme will be given to the students free of cost at 360 government schools having single shifts.

'The classes would be held in all single shift government schools in Delhi. This would provide a unique opportunity to the students for enhancing their employability if they do not wish to pursue higher studies,' he said.
