Super 30 rated among top innovative schools

After Time magazine, Newsweek has taken note of the initiative of mathematician Anand Kumar’s Super 30 and included his school in the list of four most innovative schools in the world.

According to the U.S. magazine, the effort of Mr. Kumar for the underprivileged students is “incredible” as his help of educational and moral support has facilitated the poor students study almost 16 hours every day and qualify the entrance test of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), known as the toughest test in India.

Time magazine had earlier this year selected Super 30 in the list of Best school of Asia 2010.

When contacted, Mr. Kumar said it had further emboldened his strength to guide the underprivileged to deliver.

“This is a great recognition, which will not only motivate me, but also the students to do even better. I am happy that my small initiative has brought Bihar on the international map for positive reasons,” he said.

Special envoy of the U.S. President Barack Obama, Rashad Hussian, who visited Super 30 had described it as “the best of India“.
