The Omnium Global Executive MBA program, which is known for taking its participants to eight key international business centres spanning four continents during the course of the program, will return to India for the second time in October.
The Omnium Global Executive MBA program gives its participants an opportunity to earn MBA degrees from two renowned business schools, the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Over an 18 month period, this part-time program teaches core business disciplines from a global perspective by taking participants to eight important centres of international business in Canada, Brazil, India, China, Switzerland and Hungary.
Omnium participants not only study during six two-week modules at local universities but also build their professional network and apply their learning in hands-on projects by addressing real challenges facing local companies. The program is geared towards experienced professionals, who on an average have over 12 years of work experience, and who are targeted by their companies to take on a senior leadership position with an international mandate to it.
Beatrix Dart, a professor and associate dean at the Rotman School says, "Omnium is a truly international program with business participants from almost every continent. It allows these accomplished professionals to immerse themselves in distinctive business cultures few can understand from a distance and to build up a professional network."
The current Omnium class, which will graduate in June 2011, will be studying in India from October 9 to 21 as part of their program. For the first time, the Omnium program will travel to New Delhi for a week-long visit, which will be hosted by the International Management Institute. The program will also spend a week at the India School of Business (ISB), a partner institution of Omnium, in Hyderabad. While in India, the participants will be immersed in topics such as Business Ethics, Entrepreneurship, Global Marketing, and Economics. Another major component of the two-week module in India will be exposure to well-respected Indian organisations and business leaders, who will be guest lecturers during the program.
"During our module in India, I was impressed by this country's culture, its history and potential. When considering learning about doing business in a global environment, a program such as Omnium with one or more modules in India is at the top of my list of recommendations" says Andreas Plimpton, Chief Operating Officer of Comartis AG who graduated from the Omnium program in June 2010.
