The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) seems to be leaving no stone unturned to popularize its new Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system and make it a success all over the nation.
Now, the CBSE is trying to reach out to parents to guide them on how to help their children perform well in the system.
CBSE had put up a note on its official website, declaring that the board would like to create a band of "parent advocates" who will be trained in the various aspects associated with the implementation of CCE. Parents of students studying in CBSE schools can apply to be members of the committee by submitting an online application.
CBSE Chairman Vineet Joshi has said that the feedback that has been received for CCE has been quite positive. During a recent visit to Chennai, he said that the main purpose of CCE was to unburden the students and not to put additional pressure on them and their parents.
The endeavor for equipping parents is being appreciated and welcomed by students, teachers and parents alike as they feel that informing parents bout how the CCE system is supposed to work will be quite helpful.
