A project to conduct research on Gandhian Ideas in the country will be implemented by Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), National Council of Rural Institutes (NCRI) and the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM).
Both, ICPR and NCRI are autonomous organizations working under the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
The decision to conduct the research was taken at the first advisory committee meeting of the GITAM Centre for Gandhian Studies at the GITAM campus in Visakhapatnam.
The meeting was attended by several members of the GITAM advisory committee including Vice Chancellor G. Subramaniam, Bihar Central University Vice Chancellor Janak Pandey, NCRI Chairman S.V. Prabhat, ICPR Chairman K. Ramakrishna Rao and several other members.
