The Mathematical Sciences Foundation (MSF), a non-profit educational society, announces this year's edition of its part-time programme in mathematical finance, giving students an entry into the exciting world of modern finance. The course is certified by the ICICI Bank Ltd.

The course is designed for undergraduate students (typically those majoring in mathematics, economics or commerce, as well as those taking the actuarial exams), MBA students looking to add practical or specialised skills and also for employees in the finance/banking sectors. It is useful for careers in insurance companies, financial firms and the banking sector besides areas such as investor education and counselling, project choice, portfolio management and risk analysis.

To join the programme, one needs to have mathematics as a subject in class XII. The course will run from September 2010 to March 2011, with breaks during the Commonwealth Games and the winter exams of Delhi University. Classes will be conducted in the evenings.
