Conference on minority schools

A State-level conference on ‘Challenges and issues faced by minority schools' will be held here on September 2. It will mark the formal launch of the Confederation of Tamil Nadu Minority Schools.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, R. Kishore Kumar, treasurer of the Confederation, said the body would work to safeguard the basic rights of the minorities running educational institutions. Apart from addressing the common grievances to the authorities, an employment cell for recruitment of staff and a legal cell to guide the member schools are proposed.
Objectives

“Knowledge, resource, venue sharing are a few other objectives,” said Mr. Kumar.

Committee members representing other minority schools spoke at the press meet.
