Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan today announced that a medical college would be set up in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
"A medical college would be set up in MMR to facilitate students with the education," Chavan, who was speaking at the inaugural function of an office for Slum Rehabilitation Authority here, said.
The medical college is also expected to have 100 beds and likely to be set up at Bandra in central Mumbai where the government is already building a super-speciality hospital, an official from Medical Education said.
