The curriculum for the Financial Markets Management (FMM) stream has been reviewed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in order to help students pursuing the course in securing admissions in universities.
The FMM course had been launched by CBSE in collaboration with the National Stock Exchange in 2007 as a joint certification programme at the senior secondary level under CBSE's vocational education category.
The course had been popular initially but several students were let down as most universities did not consider the subject academic. This led to students not being able to secure an admission in their desired universities.
The Board has now reviewed the curriculum on the course based on the feedback received about it from the opinions of teachers and students as well as recommendations submitted by the course review committee.
