Students should learn concepts with the help of demonstrations and understand them “critically and creatively,” said D. Rajendran, Joint Director of School Education, while inaugurating ‘Propel – the workshop' here on Wednesday.
This was also the focus of the workshop organised by The Hindu Education Plus and AIMS Education in which school toppers of Talent Search Test observed how maths and physics concepts were present as daily phenomena.
“Workshops like these would give students an understanding of the techniques of learning and teaching,” said Mr. Rajendran. It is the responsibility of principals and teachers to motivate students to face competitive examinations, he added.
According to P.V. Navaneethakrishnan, Advisor, AIMS Education, apart from hard work, aptitude, boldness, creativity and determination are important for students to tackle examinations.
