Rules for B Ed admission in IGNOU relaxed

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) today announced major relaxation in admission to Bachelor of Education(B Ed).

''The requisite eligibility percentage for B Ed Programme-2011 has been revised to 50 per cent marks instead of 55 per cent in Bachelor's or Higher Degree from a recognised University,'' Prof Pushplata Tripathi, Registrar, Student Evaluation Division of the University announced today.

Other eligibility criteria remain the same, she added. The last date for submission of filled in application forms at the Regional Centres concerned has also been extended up to August 24.

The revised date of entrance test is September 26, an IGNOU spokesperson said.
