National Stock Exchange Managing director Ravi Narain Monday flagged off a road show on "How to get started in the Capital Market", a Geojit BNP Paribas investor education initiative.
The road show vehicle will travel across Kerala for a month and at the end of this period it is expected to have reached out to an estimated 15,000 potential investors in the state.
The next leg will cover Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
The branded vehicle from Geojit BNP Paribas that also bears the logos of NSE and the corporate affairs ministry is equipped with professionals and systems for live demonstrations on online investing on the stock exchanges.
The vehicle will follow a scheduled route and will stop at key locations in each state giving the local populace the opportunity to collect basic literature and participate in interactive sessions.
Narain said the NSE has been actively driving capital market investor education initiatives through seminars, workshops, road shows.
"NSE fully supports this national campaign of Geojit BNP Paribas to educate potential investors on the benefits of investment in the capital market," he said.
