'People with character and education need to join politics'

Making an appeal to persons with charater and education to join politics, Digambar Jain Seer Tarun Sagar today said that their reluctance have provided an opportunity for wrong people to enter politics.

''Politics is not untouchable. Good people need not treat politics as 'untouchable' and come forward to join it. The move would help eliminate ills in the political system,'' the Seer said while addressing public representatives at the auditorium of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly here.

He said that the responsibility of bringing reforms in government and society rests with seers and the public representatives and they should carry their responsibility out.

''Corruption is omnipresent nowadays. The reason behind this is that everbody is only criticising the evil but not making personal efforts to remove it,'' he added. The Seer called upon the public representatives to maintain decorum in the House while raising issues of public importance.
