The last date of submission of forms for full time BA and MA courses of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is July 25 and the entrance examination will be held on August 8 followed by group discussion and interview.

An IGNOU release issued here today said there will be no entrance examination for BA courses in Applied Sign Language Studies, Preparatory Programme for Deaf students and MA courses in Gandhi and Peace Studies, Extension and Development Studies, Translation Studies, Labour and Development, Social and Anthropology Historical Perspective, Gender and Development Studies, Women and Gender Studies.

Programmes offered with entrance test include MA in Social Work (philanthropy), Journalism and Mass Communication, Electronic Media Production and Management and Life Sciences.

IGNOU in collaboration with educational institutes, is offering the following programmes with limited number of seats: B Tech in Aerospace Engineering, B A in (3D Animation and Visual Effects, Fashion Designing, Fashion Merchandising and Production, Textile Design with specialization in Woven/Knitwear, Fashion Communication, Apparel Design and Merchandising), Diploma in Computer Generated Imagery, Certificate Programme in Digital Filmmaking, Executive MBA (Hospitality Management), Certificate in (Firemanship, Enterpreneurship Skill Development, Cosmetology, Hospital Administrative Assistanceship ), Diploma (Fire Safety Management, Entrepreneurship Skill Development), PG Diploma in Security operation and PG Certificate in Security Operation.

The prescribed booklet and prospectus can be obtained from the Registrar, SRD, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-68 by post by sending a demand draft drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi or by paying in cash at the sale counters in Block-3, Maidan Garhi Campus, the IGNOU City centre, Delhi-1,2,3 and Noida. The prospectus fee is Rs 500 (Rs 550 by post).

An electronic version of the prospectus is also available at IGNOU website at www.ignou.ac.in. The filled in application forms are to be submitted to the Registrar SRD, IGNOU, New Delhi-68.
