IndiaCan and NDTV Worldwide today announced a strategic partnership to launch a programme in broadcast journalism across the country.
NDTV Worldwide, part of the NDTV Group and IndiaCan, a joint venture between Educomp and Pearson, have entered into an arrangement for introducing a broadcast journalism training programme that leverages the strengths of both partners.
Broadcast journalism today is an exciting and fulfilling career, pitching its practitioners at the heart of extraordinary changes in one of the world's most dynamic societies. With the growth in the broadcast media space across India, more specifically in regional television, the programme aims to address the requirement of the industry - quality candidates equipped with fine journalism skills and the necessary practical experience.
In its first year the NDTV- IndiaCan Broadcast Journalism programme will be launched across 10 centres, primarily in metro cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune and Chandigarh. In the second year, more centres will be added in other cities, with the aim of making the programme easily accessible to people across the country.
One of the highlights of the programme will be an internship with NDTV awarded to the top-performing candidates
