Kapil Sibal to open NIT-Karaikal

Union Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal will inaugurate newly-established National Institute of Technology at Karaikal in Union Territory of Puducherry on July 12.

According to official sources, the NIT-Karaikal, which will function temporarily from the Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College, will cater to the union territories of Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The NIT-Karaikal will offer three B Tech programmes- Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering-, with intake of 30 seats each, the sources added.
