Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today gave a fresh chance to 408 "substitute" computer teachers, whose services were terminated, to clear the eligibility test within next six months.
The services of these 408 teachers were terminated by the School Education department on May 28, 2010 for not clearing the eligibility test.
A decision to this effect was taken by Badal with a deputation of "substitute" computer teachers here at Chief Minister's residence this evening, an official release said here tonight.
Meanwhile, these "substitute" teachers would now continue their services but will have to clear the eligibility test within six months, the release said.
