BESU-CII certs awarded

A valedictory session was organised recently at the BESU auditorium to hand over the certificates to the first batch of the CII – BESU Communication Skill Development Programme. The first three rank holders were provided internship in Webel, Acclaris and Tata Consultancy Services.

CII, jointly with the Bengal University of Science & Technology (BESU) and the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), started soft skill training programme for their engineering and management students.

CII Eastern Region has launched the Industry-University Consortium for Knowledge Partnership for enhancing Employability of students. Under the aegis CII Industry-University Consortium, a manual for this soft skills training course has been developed. The first batch of CII-BESU Communication Skill Development Programme started at BESU in August 2009 and ended in January 2010 with 27 students.

Kurush Grant, chairman, CII Eastern Region, Aloke Mookherjea, chairman, Education & Skill Development Subcommittee, CII Eastern Region; Prof Ajay Kumar Ray, vice-chancellor, BESU and Dr S C Saha, director, School of Management Science, BESU were present for the function.
