The eighth all-India school education survey undertaken by trained officials will be completed before July end in this district, according to V Kumar, Chief Education Officer, Thanjavur.
In a press release here today, he said the school education survey was important as it would help the Government to plan the facilities required for schools.
In the survey, number of schools, students in various schools and facilities required for schools would be taken up. This would be done at village, town panchayat and municipality levels. Training would be given at the panchayat union level on July 2, he added.
The officials, directed to provide the statistics about the schools and students by July 10, would be provided with required forms to collect details, he said.
The forms should be submitted for scrutiny on July 15. The collected data would be analysed on July 22 and 23. The survey was being conducted as per the National Council for Education Research and Training (NCERT) guidelines, he added.
