Punjab Technical University (PTU), a State Government Technical University, recoginsed by UGC, today announced the establishment of its regional centre at Hyderabad. The PTU regional centre's aim is to support its learning centres in making Online and Distance Learning (ODL) admissions to the university's courses.
Vidya Infosys, which is regional centre of PTU in Andhra Pradesh, is acting as a facilitation centre of the University to authorised learning centres in the state, said R P S Bedi, Joint Secretary, PTU in a release here.
The learning centre runs on an ODL mode which facilitates daily classes, flexibility of the programme, multi-entry-multi-exit, online learning system and relevant self insructional material.
The disciplines include IT, Management, Engineering, Archiecture, Pharmacy, Mass Communication, Biotechnology, Appearel & Fashion Design, Hospitality and Journalism.
All the programmes are in a unique multi-entry-multi-exit system wherein students can join in post graduate diplomas and exit so as to join the final year of M.Sc/MBA after sometime as per their convenience, the release added.
