Tiruchirapalli: Bharathidasan University has started selling applications for its B.Ed programme to be offered through the Centre for Distance Education.
Candidates working in government recognised schools within the State with at least two years of experience are eligible for admission to the programme.
Sale of applications through the PCP (Personal Contact Programme) Centres began on Monday. The admission will be based on an entrance examination, the Director of the Centre for Distance Education, V. Arumugam, said in a press release.
The selection will be based on merit, in accordance with the communal reservation norms of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Staff have been posted at the PCP centres to make spot admissions on Saturdays and Sundays for professional courses like MBA, MCA, M.S. IT, and other UG/PG programmes in both semester and non-semester pattern. The CDE was prepared to help poor students from rural parts to pursue the programmes by integrating them into ‘earn while you learn' schemes.
The CDE also offers central government scholarships to SC/ST students, Dr. Arumugam said.
