Puducherry: The Puducherry administration is taking steps to set up its own Board of Secondry Education here, Chief Minister V Vaithilingam told the Legislative Assembly today.
Replying to a question, he said as in neighbouring Tamil Nadu, the Puducherry administration will also introduce a uniform pattern of education from the first to sixth standards, from the next accademic year.
However, he clarified that this would be only in Puducherry and Karaikal regions of the union territory. Mahe and Yanam regions will follow the pattern of Kerala and Andhra Pradesh Boards, respectively, he stated.
