Chennai: Students appeared for Class X examination in various schools on Tuesday complained of a mix up in the distribution of question papers.
Sources said as many as ten students of the State Board and an equal number belonging to the Matriculation Board were appearing for Class X Examination. In one of the exam halls at the school, where 10 matriculation students and 10 state board students wrote the exam, the invigilators wrongly distributed matriculation pattern question papers to the state board students and state board pattern question papers to the matriculation students.
We wrote the examination without complaining as the syllabi for both the streams were same, said Rajesh, a student. Only after completing the exam we came to know about mix up. This goof-up occurred as the exam hall invigilators gave the wrong question papers. The director of government examination, Mrs Vasundra Devi, was not available for comments.
Over eight lakh students from state board, matriculation, Anglo-Indian and oriental streams appeared for class X examination.
