Chandigarh: Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) Rohtak will sign a MoU with Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Rohtak on March 19 for utilisation of physical infrastructure of MDU.
MDU Vice Chancellor Dr R P Hooda said that MDU will provide physical infrastructure of newly established IIM, Rohtak till completion of its' own campus at near by village Garnawathi.
The facilities to be provided to IIM include new Humanities Block for teaching /administration block, The Everest Boys' Hostel, rooms in the University Girls' Hostel for the girl students of IIM, 9 quarters for Faculty members of IIM, one Director Residence and 5 rooms in the Faculty House of the University. IIM will be permitted to avail the centralised facilities of MDU such as Tagore Auditorium, Central Library, conference Halls, Sports Complex.
Meanwhile, the establishment of temporary campus of IIM, Rohtak in MDU will pave the way for 'value-addition' of the varsity, Dr Hooda said and added that it will boost the overall academic environ of the University.
Notably, IIM is being established in Haryana due to the efforts of State Government, specially Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Member of Parliament (M.P.) Deepender Singh Hooda.
