Madurai: Students must equip themselves with soft skills, especially English language skills, said the Vice-Chancellor of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, R. T. Sabapathy Mohan.
Speaking at the 27th annual graduation day at Thiagarajar College here, Dr. Sabapathy Mohan stressed that English was a vital tool to communicate with the world.
Currently, there was a need for young graduates with employable skills; hence students should make an earnest effort to improve their soft skills. To enhance competitive skills they should also take up value-added courses.
The Vice-Chancellor exhorted the graduates to continue their journey in life with confidence. He also praised the Thiagarajar College for its secular outlook.
