During an interaction with the SVIMS academics from anaesthesiology, biochemistry, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, medicine, nephrology, neurosurgery, nuclear medicine, oncology, pathology, plastic surgery, radiotherapy, urology among others, Dr. Selvamurthy said that the DRDO's annual spending towards advanced research was to the tune of Rs.900 crore and asked the departments to forward proposals to him. The team later visited the various departments and lauded the impressive infrastructure in place.
