Speaking to newspersons here today Karnataka Medical Education minister Ramachandra Gowda announced that the committee was constituted to fix the fee structure for the medical courses offered by both Government and Private Colleges.
He said the fee structure was not fixed for the year 2010-11 in Government Colleges and those coming under the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) as a petition was pending before the High Court on the issue.
He said some students had approached the Karnataka High Court against the fixed fee structure for the year 2006-07 for admission into COMED-K and Minority and Linguistic Management Institutions on arbitrary basis without recommendations of any committee.
