The inauguration of the Coaching Classes for Civil Services Examination was organized by the Centre for Career Development on 16th February 2010 at 3.00 p.m. in PSGR Krishnammal College for Women.
The inauguration began with the welcome address by Dr (Mrs) N Yesodha Devi , Principal, PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore. The guests of honour were Dr. P. Umanath IAS, Collector, Coimbatore and Dr.N Vasantha Kumar IAS, Collector, Karaikal. Both of them motivated the students and encouraged them to take career as civil servants.
They stressed that there are many opportunities and challenges, which they have to face to serve the society and the nation. They further said that the civil services have got many facets and IAS being one of the facets, which is the goal of every aspiring student community preparing for civil services examination.
The guest speaker Prof P Kanagaraj, Government Arts College, Coimbatore , highlighted the nature of the examination and stressed the importance of personality development at the time of final interview. He further added that scoring a good mark during the main examination would definitely boost the aspirants of civil services. Prof. S Balasubramanian, Director, GRG School of Management Studies proposed the vote of thanks.
