Karunya University inked a memorandum of understanding with the Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI), Bangalore, to recognise each other as centres of excellence for academic and research collaboration and share facilities and resources for research and other mutual benefits.
The MoU will entail collaborative research in design and manufacturing engineering in emerging areas like micro-machining, green manufacturing, industrial ergonomics and other manufacturing technology areas.
It will also include designing industry-focussed curriculum with vocational and research orientation for select engineering and management streams.
It was signed by Paul P. Appasamy, Vice-Chancellor of the university, and B.R. Satyan, Director, CMTI.
