Nagapattinam: In the e recent escalation in the number of education institutions across the state and in the crucial phase of economic slump, quality education is the need of the hour, says V. Ramachandran, Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, Tiruchi.
Speaking at the annual convocation of the EGS Pillay Engineering College, the Vice-Chancellor appealed to the teachers not to recommend students to study the guides and poor quality notes prepared by others, instead the students should prepare the notes on their own with original skill for the university examinations.
Teachers must take special interests and efforts to educate rural students and provide quality education to them.
The Vice Chancellor urged the young engineering graduates to update their knowledge and improve their communication skills to face more challenges in the existing global employment scenario. The UG students should not stop with their studies but instead pursue postgraduation, he said.
The Vice-Chancellor, distributed degrees to 189 engineering, MBA and MCA graduates.
