The results of CAT 2009 are expected to be declared by the third week of February 2010. Earlier the results were expected to be out on January 22. But now the date have been rescheduled because of 2nd phase of CAT 2009. The first phase of CAT 2009 was from November 28th to December 8th, 2009. The second phase of CAT 2009 will be on January 30th and 31st, 2010.
The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). It is needed to be taken for admission to the Post-graduate (MBA) and Fellow Programs in management in the IIMs and various other Management institutes in India. About 2.42 lakh candidates registered for computerized CAT 2009.
From November 28th to December 8th, 2009, about 2.16 lakh candidates completed the test and about 10% of the total registered applicants (24,000) did not show up for the test. And during the test, about 8,000 students faced difficulty of various kinds in completing the test. Now those candidates will be able to appear in the re-test during phase two to be held on January 30th and 31st, 2010.
All candidates eligible for the re-test in phase two would have received notice of their eligibility from Prometric by now. They will also receive another notification informing them of the time and location for their test by January 23rd, 2010.
