Rs 98 lakh scholarship to tribal students in Sikkim

Gangtok: Sikkim government has announced scholarships worth Rs 98 lakh to 4615 students belonging to the scheduled tribes in 2009-10.

 A total of 1714 tribal students will be given Rs 29.36 lakh in post-matriculation scholarships this year, an official release said today.

 Another 2901 students will get Rs 68.63 lakh in pre-matriculation scholarships, it added.
